[Excerpt] Siad Barre plans to infiltrate about 300 elite police and army soldiers for an assassination and subversion mission against SSF (Somali Salvation Front) forces. These elite soldiers have been trained in the FRG in return for Siad’s collaboration in the storming of the hijacked Lufthansa plane at Mogadishu airport in 1977.

The FRG Government does not know the reason why these people have been given such specialized training but we know why, as we have people in the Siad inner circle who give us the reports that we need. This heinous act of assassination and subversion by Siad is known to us and this will not prolong Siad’s rule in our country.
