SRC Vice President holds talks with Saudis

The SRC vice president and secretary of state for information and national guidance, Challe Col Ismail Ali Abucar, received in his office today a Saudi Arabian delegation led by As-Sayyid Ahmad Muhammad Jamal, an adviser to King Faysal ibn Abdul Aziz.

The vice president and the delegation held talks on bilateral relations, and the strengthening of Islam. The secretary of state for information and national guidance explained to the delegation Somalia’s stand toward the Arab struggle against Israel. He also spoke about the long political and religious ties between the Somalis and the Arabs.

In a short speech, the leader of the Saudi delegation said that the Arab people, and the people of Saudi Arabia in particular, are well aware of the encouraging support they have been receiving from the Somali people. He added that the Somali people have always been a force in Islam. The delegation arrived in Mogadiscio last Tuesday, and will stay here for 10 days.
