Resistance forces in Western Somalia defeat Ethiopian army



Mogadishu Somalia Domestic Service (in Amharic) — 1100 GMT

It is reported from Western Somalia that 125 Ethiopian soldiers were killed in the fighting between Ethiopian troops and Somali nationalists at a place 22 miles from Bulaleh.

Seventy-six rifles and three machineguns were captured from the Ethiopian troops. The Somali nationalists also burned out four army trucks.

The fighting between Somali nationalists and Ethiopian troops in Ogaden is continuing.
